RAMEDFRAMED
Terms for buyers, sellers and anyone using FRAMED in the United Kingdom, United States and other supported markets.
Effective 27 August 2026 · Version 2026-09-04
FRAMED is an online marketplace for discovering and buying art. Artists, galleries, studios and other authorised sellers can list work for buyers to purchase through the website.
Marketplace and legal contact can be made at support@framedoriginalart.com.
FRAMED provides the marketplace, account tools, checkout and payment flow. Unless FRAMED is expressly identified as the seller on a listing, the seller shown on that listing is the person or business selling the artwork to the buyer.
These Terms of Use apply to everyone who visits, creates an account, buys, sells or otherwise uses FRAMED. Separate Seller Terms and marketplace policies also apply where relevant.
You must be at least 18 years old, or otherwise legally capable of entering into the relevant contract in your jurisdiction, to buy or sell through FRAMED.
You are responsible for providing accurate account information, keeping it up to date and protecting your sign-in details. We may require email, identity, business, payment or other verification where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance or marketplace operations.
We may restrict, suspend or close an account where we reasonably believe it is being misused, creates a security or fraud risk, breaches these terms or another FRAMED policy, or where action is required by law or a payment provider.
You must use FRAMED lawfully and honestly. You must not interfere with the website or its security, attempt to access another person's account, introduce malicious code, scrape or overload the service in a manner that materially interferes with it, manipulate marketplace systems, or use FRAMED to commit fraud or other unlawful activity.
You must not move a transaction off-platform in order to avoid FRAMED fees, payment controls or buyer protections.
Artwork details, price, seller information, delivery terms and any applicable taxes or charges are shown on the listing or during checkout.
Submitting payment does not by itself guarantee acceptance of an order. FRAMED may confirm availability, payment status, fraud checks and seller status before an order is treated as confirmed. If the item is unavailable or payment cannot be completed, the order may be cancelled and any amount due back will be returned through the payment provider.
Where the seller is a third party, the seller remains responsible for the accuracy of the listing, lawful sale of the item, fulfilment and the legal obligations that apply to that seller.
Payments are processed through Stripe or another payment provider used by FRAMED. FRAMED will not ask a buyer to pay for a normal marketplace order by gift card, cryptocurrency or an off-platform transfer.
Prices, delivery charges and taxes that FRAMED can calculate in advance will be shown before payment is confirmed. Currency conversion or foreign transaction charges imposed by a bank or card provider are outside FRAMED's control.
FRAMED may collect and remit VAT, sales tax or other transaction taxes where the law requires a marketplace operator to do so. Buyers and sellers remain responsible for taxes that the law places on them and that FRAMED is not required to collect or remit.
FRAMED may make listings available to buyers in the United Kingdom, United States and other supported destinations. A seller must only offer delivery to a destination they can lawfully serve.
Cross-border orders can be subject to customs clearance, import duties, local taxes, carrier fees and restrictions. Unless checkout states that such amounts are included, the buyer may be responsible for charges imposed by the destination country or carrier.
For buyers in the United States, nothing in these terms limits non-waivable rights under applicable federal or state consumer law. Return rights for non-faulty goods can vary by seller and state; the Purchases, Delivery, Cancellations & Returns Policy explains FRAMED's marketplace process.
Anyone selling through FRAMED must follow the Seller Terms, Artwork, Intellectual Property & Seller Rules and any other seller policy that applies.
A seller may be an artist, gallery, studio or authorised representative. Sellers are responsible for having the legal right to list, market and sell the work they offer and for accurately stating whether they are acting as a business or private seller where that distinction is relevant.
Users keep ownership of content they own. By uploading content to FRAMED, you grant FRAMED a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, resize, crop, format, display and use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, market, secure and improve the marketplace while the content is available on FRAMED and for reasonable archival, legal and record-keeping purposes afterwards.
You must not upload content that infringes another person's copyright, trade mark, privacy, publicity or other rights. FRAMED may remove or restrict content where it reasonably believes an infringement, fraud or legal risk exists.
We aim to keep FRAMED available and working properly, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. We may make changes, carry out maintenance, remove or add features, or temporarily restrict access where reasonably necessary.
We may change the marketplace, supported countries, categories, fees or operational processes. Material seller fee changes will be communicated in accordance with the Seller Terms.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including rights that consumers cannot waive under applicable law.
To the extent permitted by law, FRAMED is not responsible for losses caused by matters outside our reasonable control, losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or business losses suffered by a person using FRAMED wholly or mainly for business purposes.
Where you buy from a third-party seller, that seller remains responsible for the goods they sell and the legal obligations applying to the sale. FRAMED may nevertheless provide payment, cancellation, refund, dispute and support processes under its marketplace policies.
FRAMED may remove listings, limit features, hold or delay marketplace actions where permitted, or suspend accounts where reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, respond to a payment or fraud risk, investigate a complaint or enforce these terms.
Where appropriate, FRAMED may preserve transaction and account records after an account is closed where needed for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute or security purposes.
We may update these terms when FRAMED, the law or our operational requirements change. The version published on the website will state the date from which it applies. Material changes will not retrospectively remove rights that have already arisen under a completed transaction.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not remove any mandatory consumer protection that applies under the law of the country, state or territory where you live.
Nothing in this clause prevents a consumer from bringing a claim in a court that must remain available to them under applicable law.
Questions about these terms can be sent to support@framedoriginalart.com.
