RAMEDFRAMED
Rules for artists, galleries, studios and other authorised sellers offering work through FRAMED.
Effective 27 August 2026 · Version 2026-09-04
FRAMED is open to artists, galleries, studios and other sellers that have the legal right to offer the work they list.
If you sell work created by someone else, you must have authority to sell it and to use the artist's name, images and other material shown in the listing. You must accurately state your identity, location and whether you are acting as a business, professional trader or private seller where that distinction is legally relevant.
You must be at least 18 years old, or otherwise legally capable of entering into the seller agreement in your jurisdiction.
You must provide accurate information during seller onboarding and keep it current. FRAMED may require identity, business, tax, payout or other verification before you can list, sell or receive payouts.
Payment and payout services are provided through Stripe where applicable. You must satisfy Stripe's onboarding and verification requirements and must not use another person's payment account without authority.
Listings must describe the artwork honestly. Titles, images, dimensions, medium, condition, edition information, production method, price, delivery details and dispatch times must not mislead buyers.
You must not list work that you do not own or have authority to sell. You must not use images, descriptions, trade marks or other material that you do not have the right to use.
FRAMED may remove, pause or restrict a listing that appears inaccurate, unlawful, unsafe, infringing, fraudulent or inconsistent with marketplace rules.
FRAMED charges a 25% commission on the artwork sale price.
For paintings and other works where delivery is shown as a separate charge, FRAMED does not charge commission on the genuine delivery amount paid by the buyer.
For prints and posters, FRAMED may show standard domestic delivery as included in the displayed price. Where that happens, FRAMED may treat a reasonable delivery allowance as shipping rather than artwork value. The 25% commission applies to the artwork value, not that genuine delivery allowance.
Shipping and delivery amounts must reflect real delivery, packaging, handling and insurance costs. You must not inflate delivery charges to reduce commission. A delivery rate must not exceed the listed price of the artwork or product for the same destination, and an additional-item rate must not exceed the first-item rate. FRAMED may reject, adjust or request evidence for a delivery amount that appears unreasonable.
You may offer free delivery or set destination-based delivery rates. FRAMED may combine delivery for multiple compatible prints or posters bought from the same seller so the buyer is not charged a full delivery amount for every unit.
A shipping profile may include a first-item amount and a lower additional-item amount. Where several eligible items from the same seller can travel together, FRAMED may calculate combined shipping across those items.
Items bought from different sellers are normally separate shipments. International delivery may be charged separately where the destination materially changes the cost.
For paintings and other one-off work, you may set delivery charges that reasonably reflect size, weight, packaging, insurance, courier choice and destination.
You are responsible for appropriate packaging, buying the required postage or courier service, complying with carrier and export requirements, and using a tracked delivery service for every physical FRAMED order. You must enter the carrier and tracking number in FRAMED when you confirm dispatch. FRAMED does not impose a marketplace-wide insurance requirement, although you remain responsible for choosing an appropriate delivery service for the work and destination.
Treat the order shown in your FRAMED seller dashboard as the source of truth. Do not ship because a buyer sends a screenshot, email or message claiming payment has been made.
You must dispatch within the time shown on the listing. If you cannot fulfil the order, contact FRAMED promptly. You must not substitute a different work without the buyer's agreement.
For orders to United States buyers, you must comply with applicable federal and state shipping rules. If you do not state a shipping time, U.S. law may impose a default shipment deadline and obligations to obtain consent to delays or issue refunds.
You must follow the Purchases, Delivery, Cancellations & Returns Policy and any mandatory legal rights that apply to the buyer.
For eligible distance sales by a trader to a UK consumer, the Consumer Contracts Regulations can provide a 14-day cancellation period after delivery, subject to legal exceptions such as genuinely bespoke or personalised goods. You must not describe a standard made-to-order print as personalised solely because it is produced after purchase.
For United States sales there is no single general federal cooling-off right for ordinary online purchases. Your stated return policy therefore matters, but it cannot remove rights that apply to faulty, misdescribed or otherwise legally protected transactions under applicable federal or state law.
You must cooperate with FRAMED where an order is cancelled, returned, disputed, damaged, lost, charged back or refunded.
Seller payouts are handled through Stripe. Timing can depend on payment status, fulfilment, disputes, refunds, account verification, fraud checks and Stripe requirements.
FRAMED may deduct or recover commission, refunds, reversals, chargebacks, taxes it is required to collect from you, or other amounts that you are responsible for under these terms. Where a refund occurs after payout, you remain responsible for the amount properly attributable to you.
You are responsible for your own income, corporation, VAT, sales, use and other tax obligations as applicable to you.
FRAMED may calculate, collect and remit VAT, sales tax or similar transaction taxes where marketplace-facilitator or other law requires FRAMED to do so. This does not transfer to FRAMED taxes or registrations that remain the seller's responsibility.
You must provide tax information reasonably requested for compliance and record-keeping. FRAMED may retain and report seller or transaction information where required by law, payment rules or tax authorities.
If you enable delivery to another country or U.S. state, you are responsible for ensuring the work can lawfully be exported, imported, sold and delivered there. This includes restrictions on protected cultural property, wildlife materials, sanctioned persons or destinations, and any carrier restrictions relevant to the work.
You must not mark customs documentation inaccurately or understate a shipment's value. You must clearly describe the item and provide information reasonably required for customs or carrier processing.
Where the buyer is responsible for import duties or charges, the listing or checkout should make that clear where FRAMED provides a field or notice for it.
Respond to order problems promptly. Keep listing information accurate. Package work carefully. Use tracked delivery for every physical order and record the carrier and tracking number in FRAMED. Do not manipulate reviews, misrepresent scarcity or provenance, or move a FRAMED buyer off-platform to avoid commission, tax, payment or marketplace protections.
You must comply with FRAMED's Artwork, Intellectual Property & Seller Rules. Counterfeit work, fake signatures, forged provenance, unauthorised reproductions and listings that materially misrepresent authorship or edition status are prohibited.
If FRAMED receives a credible rights complaint, it may pause or remove the listing while the issue is reviewed and may ask you for evidence of ownership, licence or authority.
FRAMED may pause listings, delay access to seller tools, restrict payouts where permitted, or suspend a seller where there is a serious policy breach, fraud concern, legal issue, repeated fulfilment problem, unresolved rights complaint or material risk to buyers or the marketplace.
FRAMED may permanently remove a seller for serious or repeated breaches. Outstanding orders, refunds, disputes, legal obligations and record-retention requirements can continue after suspension or closure.
FRAMED may update these Seller Terms. Material changes to commission or seller charges will apply prospectively and will be communicated before they take effect, except where an immediate change is reasonably required by law, payment-network rules, fraud prevention or security.
These Seller Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to mandatory laws that cannot be excluded in a seller's jurisdiction or in the jurisdiction of a protected consumer.
